Alex Ulitsky, MD, provides compassionate GI care with the main goal of developing a close reciprocal relationship with each patient. He ensures his patients have a detailed understanding of their condition and the goals, limits and risks of any evaluation or treatment.

Dr. Ulitsky diagnoses and treats all GI diseases including liver, pancreaticobiliary and inflammatory bowel diseases. He is skilled at performing EGD, colonoscopy, ERCP, EUS, EMR, flexible-sigmoidoscopy, PEG placement, placement of esophageal and colonic stents and radiofrequency ablation for Barrett’s esophagus.

Dr. Ulitsky was born in the USSR and immigrated to the United States with his family in 1989. He earned his medical degree at the University of Illinois at Chicago where he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. Dr. Ulitsky went on to complete his residency at the University of Chicago Hospitals in Illinois and his fellowship in Hepatology and Gastroenterology at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee. Dr. Ulitsky is board certified in both gastroenterology and internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He is a member of the American Gastroenterological Association (AGA), American College of Gastroenterology (ACG) and Phi Betta Kappa Society.

In his free time, Dr. Ulitsky enjoys travel, skiing and reading.
