Erica A. Samuel, MD

A lifelong resident of the Milwaukee area, Erica A. Samuel, MD, believes in working with her patients, providing them individualized digestive health care. Her goal is to deliver the best possible care to each of her patients.

As a gastroenterologist, Dr. Samuel provides general gastrointestinal care and has a special interest in functional GI disorders, particularly irritable bowel syndrome.

Dr. Samuel graduated Magna Cum Laude from Marquette University in Milwaukee with a degree in biomedical sciences. She completed her medical degree with honors in research, Internal Medicine residency and Gastroenterology and Hepatology fellowship all at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee. She is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology by the American Board of Internal Medicine and a member of the American Gastroenterological Association (AGA) and the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE).

Dr. Samuel has presented her research in cyclic vomiting syndrome and gastroesophageal reflux disease at Digestive Disease Week and recently co-authored a book chapter on the Upper Esophageal Sphincter in the Principles of Deglutition. In 2013, she was invited to present her research at the highly competitive American College of Gastroenterology’s North American Conference of GI Fellows.

In her free time, Dr. Samuel enjoys running, boating, playing volleyball and raising her family.
