Maria Tes Rivera, MD
Pediatric Gastroenterologist
As a pediatric gastroenterologist, Dr. Rivera specializes in treating routine and chronic gastrointestinal conditions in infants, children and adolescents. She has a special interest in treating celiac disease, inflammatory bowel disease including Crohn’s and ulcerative colitis and nutritional deficiencies. She is skilled at colonoscopy, upper endoscopy and PEG (feeding) tube placement.
Dr. Rivera earned her medical degree at the University of Santo Tomas University Hospital in Manila, Philippines. She went on to complete her residency in Pediatrics at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin in Milwaukee. Dr. Rivera is board certified in pediatric gastroenterology.
In her free time, Dr. Rivera enjoys competitive dancing, designing rhinestone costumes for professional dancers, making floral arrangements for weddings and events and spending time with her dog, Ella.
