Lyndon V. Hernandez, MD, believes that the best patient-physician relationships are built on a foundation of communication and trust and result in the best patient outcomes.

Dr. Hernandez provides management for all general digestive disorders as well as pancreatic diseases. He is skilled at gastrointestinal cancer screening and endoscopic ultrasound.

Dr. Hernandez was born and raised in the Philippines where he earned his undergraduate (Magna cum Laude) and medical degree (University Scholar) at the University of Santo Thomas. He completed his residency and fellowship training at the University Wisconsin-Milwaukee Clinical Campus. He then pursued a subspecialty fellowship in Advanced Endoscopy at the University of Florida in Gainesville as well as a Master’s in Public Health at Harvard University in Boston, Massachusetts.

Dr. Hernandez collaborates with engineers to develop novel endoscopic methods and devices. He’s the Associate Editor of the Editorial Review Board for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, the official medical journal of the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE). He is also active in national organizations and serves as a member of the Publications Committee of the ASGE.

Dr. Hernandez is a board certified gastroenterologist and served as a full-time faculty member of the University Wisconsin Medical School. He currently holds a clinical faculty appointment at Medical College of Wisconsin and has been chosen as one of the, “Best Doctors in America,” by US News & World Report.

In his free time, Dr. Hernandez enjoys spending time with his wife and two children.
