Matthew R. Mohorek, MD
Gastroenterologist
As a gastroenterologist, Matthew Mohorek, MD, offers a broad range of GI services and with an interest in high quality colonoscopy/colon cancer screening, GERD and other esophageal conditions, inflammatory bowel disease, and functional GI / motility disorders. He is skilled performing colonoscopy and upper endoscopy (EGD) procedures.
Dr. Mohorek earned his medical degree at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee and completed both his residency and fellowship at the Medical College of Wisconsin Affiliated Hospitals, where he was Chief Resident of Internal Medicine. Dr. Mohorek is board certified in Internal Medicine and a member the American Gastrointestinal Association (AGA) and American College of Gastroenterology (ACG).
Dr. Mohorek is published in studies related to both medical education and health care quality as well as gastrointestinal endoscopy. He has presented work at national and international conferences for various societies including the American College of Gastroenterology, American Association for the Study of Liver Disease, Association for Academic Surgery and the Society of General Internal Medicine.
Outside of work Dr. Mohorek enjoys spending quality time with his wife and four children, trying new restaurants and traveling. He stays active by playing basketball, volleyball, running and swimming and enjoys activities on the lake such as boating, fishing and wakeboarding.
