Chetan Mittal, MD, ABOM, truly believes in providing personalized high-quality patient-centered care using a multidisciplinary approach. He goes beyond his abilities to be a patient advocate and do the right thing, regardless of the circumstances. Dr. Mittal believes the best part of his job is obtaining positive outcomes for patients. He enjoys taking the time to explain the disease process, findings on investigations and including patients in the treatment plan.
As a gastroenterologist, Dr. Mittal’s special interests include pancreatic disorders, bile duct disorders, obesity and GI tract cancers. He is skilled at procedures including colonoscopy, upper endoscopy, EUS and ERCP.
Dr. Mittal completed his medical education at VMMC and Safdarjang Hospital in New Delhi, India and his residency at Wayne State University / Henry Ford Health System in Detroit, Michigan. He went on to attend the University of Colorado in Denver for fellowship training and completed his Advanced Endoscopy Fellowship at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago, Illinois. He is board certified in both Gastroenterology and Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine and a member of the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE).
In his free time, Dr. Mittal enjoys yoga, swimming and travel.
